What are spam listings?

Listings are labelled as spam when they include irrelevant information and affect the search experience for buyers.

Spam listings include duplicate listings, price spam listings, keyword spam listings, attribute spam listings.

What is price spam?

Price spam refers to the act of listing items at extremely low (e.g. $500) or extremely high prices (e.g. $25,00), but with no intention to sell the items at the listed price.

Another way price spam occurs is when an add-on is listed as a variation of the product.

To avoid misleading shoppers, any add-ons should be listed together with the main product as a variation, instead of being listed separately. The listing price should include the price of your add-on(s).

For example, if you are selling a smartphone package smartphone (worth $2,250) and a phone case (worth $350) your product listing should include the following variations:

  1. $2,250 for smartphone
  2. $2,600 for smartphone + phone case

What is keyword spam?

Keyword spam refers to the use of irrelevant search terms in your product title.

An easy-to-read product name not only improves your listing quality, but also provides shoppers with a better shopping experience.

Follow this naming convention to avoid keyword spam:
Brand + Product Name + Model

For example:
Apple Macbook Pro 15” (Retina)
Innisfree Green Tea Serum (80ml)

What happens if I create spam listings?

Listings detected as spam will be banned or deleted, and the seller may receive penalty points under  Dimarkethall  Seller Penalty Points system. Selling privileges may be restricted for sellers with a high number of penalty points.

In severe cases,  Dimarkethall may suspend the accounts of sellers with a high number of listing violations.

Listings that can be edited may face suspension instead. You can rectify suspended listings to continue selling.
